Royal Navy, the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy.
The overwhelming majority of loudspeakers and microphones on RN
warships are manufactured by Vitavox.
The maritime environment demands reliability and durability. This is
further compounded by the requirements of a fighting ship or submarine.
Because reliability and durability has been designed into our products
they are the best available. For example our watertight loudspeakers
are shock proof and blast proof and are type tested to 70 G force.
Where you need to have optimum reliability, and the risk of failure
has to be minimised, then follow the lead from the Royal Navies. Why?
because these products have proven themselves in service over the
years. Also note that this quality reduces maintenance and through life
cost.
The Vitavox range includes:
- Above deck watertight loudspeakers (main broadcast and intercom) that bolt on to the bulkhead for maximum rigidity
- Below deck loudspeakers used in passageways and ward rooms
- Submarine loudspeakers used on the conning tower. These are individually pressure tested to 700 metres.
- Handsets, both emergency (self powered) and RICE compatible.
- Waterproof and ATEX approved microphones.
- Gimbal brackets for directionally facing watertight loudspeakers where this is necessary.
